I was flicking through an old journal this morning and I came across an entry with this written in capital letters…”WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??”
In that moment I felt a wave of compassion for the version of me that wrote that.
My story used to be that I shouldn’t be feeling the way I was. I had a great life, I should be grateful, not feeling anxious, lost or anything other than happiness!
So what was wrong with me?
Absolutely nothing and there’s nothing wrong with you either. You are perfectly you! In fact you couldn’t be more perfectly you if you tried.
The feeling that there is something wrong with you comes from living from fear. Fear of not being accepted or not being good enough.
Fear keeps us in a place of trying to be who we think we need to be.
Fear keeps us worrying what people might think of us.
Fear keeps us in a state of stress and it keeps anxiety as a close personal friend.
To create more happiness and freedom in your life, living from love is a crucial step.
So when you notice yourself worrying, anxious or fearful about something, ask yourself “What would love say or do?”
I use this all the time now. It’s something my clients love too. You’ll be amazed how differently life is when you start to step out of fear.
