I honestly can’t believe it’s this time of year again and with the busyness of the festive period it’s easy to forget to take a moment to reflect.
That’s the purpose of this blog, to invite you to reflect on the past year, to be curious and take some learnings. Reflection is a powerful tool in creating a happy and free life as it’s an opportunity to gain more awareness.
I have a part of me that is great at pointing out all the things that I haven’t done this year that I said I wanted to, and it’s easy to use the negative focus to beat myself up and possibly then create unrealistic, fear based goals for next year.
To set myself up for the 2025 I actually want, I choose to reflect with curiosity and not judgement and I want to help you to do that too. I’ve written some questions below for you to get curious with to help set you up for a 2025 full of happiness and freedom. I recommend before you start to answer these questions, that you take 5-10 minutes to sit quietly, ground yourself in the present and connect in to your body.
•    What am I grateful for this year?
•    What have I learnt about myself & my life this year? Or what can I learn about myself & my life from this year?
•    What can I celebrate about myself this year?
•    What is something I want to make sure I carry into 2025?
•    What is something I want to leave behind in 2024?
•    If I could go back and speak to the me from 1 year ago, what would I tell them?
•    What is the story I’m telling myself about this year? If it’s not helpful, what’s another way of looking at that?
•    When I think about 2025, what thoughts & stories come to mind? Are they the most helpful ones I could choose?
This reflection is your first step in making 2025 all that you want. The next step is to set your intentions. Most people create New Year Resolutions and they just don’t work.
Wishing you a happy, healthy and mindful 2025.
